LeDarick Horne and Dr. Margo Izzo wrote a book and did a webinar about this topic. They also shared some resources; Eye to Eye which is a mentoring program for people with hidden disabilities and co-morbidity. Also, Understood which has resources for anybody needing help with disabilities. A disability positive program LaDarick collaborated on is Road Trip Nation: Being You. Dr. Izzo states if a person doesn't have disability pride they probably have disability shame. This webinar is hosted by Presence Learning and contains printable slide hand outs as well as a printable resource list! The webinar is around 1.5 hours long but is broken into 3 parts and you can pause or fast forward if needed.
